Jason and I were forced to exchange weird glances as we left his mum hanging.

She wanted to talk to me? Didn't she hate me or something? Who even told her about my mum's passing?

What was I even thinking? It was obviously Dad.

"Jason, aren't you with her? I want to talk to her." Emily said again.
