The object of reflection before me mirrored my pain and that of Axels’- his reflection betrays nothing of the beastly attitude under his sleeves.
He sauntered around me with his finger trailing on my exposed shoulder, I feel nothing but disgust as his uneasy breath fell on my ears.
I could not control the fear I have for him, only heaven knows what he’s going to do next. So I slipped from his grasp before he could make his next move which was kissing my neck.
His eyes widened and he smirked as if I have defied a great lord, but he is no great lord.
My lungs suddenly perch dry and my hands became sweaty on the spot. Luckily, the door to my room flung open to reveal my stepmother again and she growled at her don warning him to be on his best behavior.
I took the chance to escape from their sigh first as I took long strides across the halls and to the bog waiting room where father was at. A strange cold breeze took hold of me entirely.
I took a large exhale before making my entrance and my gaze fell on a averagely tall man standing across father. I’d be wrong to say the cold breeze belongs to father, no! It belongs to another person entirely, a feeling so murderous and deadly- my soul nearly flee when my crystal blue eyes fell on his gray ones.
Eyes so pretty and endless that I could get lost in just staring at them all day but at the same time, I can see a deep pain beneath them.
The movement of his brows snapped me back to reality and then the fear descended upon me yet again.
My father threw me a murderous glare forcing me into place.
Axel and Valerie soon joined and the discussion began- a deal on selling me off right in front of me.
The only... Once loved daughter of a fallen Alpha.
Valerie made me sit politely and the pretense on her is writing an applause.
The standing man introduced himself to be the Alpha’s Beta and he talked and replied most of the time. The dangerous Alpha barely speaks perhaps his voice kills as well.
I buried my head low staring at my beautiful dress, it was just when father mentioned my name had I looked up. I raised my head to meet the Alpha’s eyes on me again... He never took them off me since I entered. I cringe the more at the mere thought of following him home as my new master.
“The Alpha has no interest in knowing why you've decided to see your only daughter off, your payment is ready so save the story” Beta Nick explained with slight complacency.
Tears filled my face to hear my father laughing, i expect if not too much but a little regret on his face for what he did to me.
Valerie’s face widened as the Alpha’s Beta dropped a small box on the table with more stacks of money on top.
Thats it? I am being sold for that amount of money? Money that wouldnt last for eternity.
“She is so hardworking so i assure you Alpha, you will not have issues with her” Valerie chirped on at thr sight of money.
My father’s face was no exception and Axel’s hold no sympathy either.
“On your feet” his voice jolts me on my senses like lightening. He finalky spoke and it indeed sounds like death.
“We will get her things ready Alpha” My stepmother said with a wide smile.
“No! I want her to follow me back right now” the Alpha said.
I saw the fear on their faces when the dangerous Alpha roared a no, if he is that powerful and murderous as history had it then my happy days are numbered.
Alpha Klein of Shadow pack stood up to leave and the beta got hold of me, snatching me from my seat.
“Lets go” he said to me with cold eyes.
The tears threatening to fall made their way down my cheeks and flows down relentlessly. They all waved goodbye to me as Beta Nick slammed the car door to cut off my stare.
And that was it. I cried silently with my face almost out of the window. With him beside me, I fear I might die of heart attack before getting to his palace.
It was a long ride away from home and then we arrived at Shadow pack in the dead of the night.
Beta Nick got the door for him and I hurriedly got down, I sure don't want to irritate the Alpha with my sulking.
It's a dark night unlike the times when the Blue Moon gives it's special light to brighten everywhere.
So dark but I can see the main building shining in it's glory, the mahogany trees that filled vast land of the pack house. Other buildings with it's own magnificence.
Different from what I had expected, for he is known to be scary and dreadful, I had expected a fading house with vines covering everywhere. Skulls and blood flowing in this fountain instead of water but I had thought too far perhaps.
I shook my head to focus on reality when I noticed that the beta was gone. I was long left with the Alpha but I didn't know it.
So lost in my sense of exploration, I hadn't know when we walked up the porch and the beta leaving is be or his stare on me all along.
I made a short cry to see his eyes on mine, his stares so intense and piercing. They hold nothing but disgust and hatred. Have I unknowingly irritated the Alpha? Am dead!
“Why you?” he growled and I took fearful steps back.
He grabbed my hand, his strong grip drew blood and I winced before forcing me into the main house and the moment we reached, he let go of me. He took a piece of clothing to wipe his hand as if he had touched a filth.
“Get that dress off your body!” he ordered in a cold and demeaning voice.
What?
