Chapter 2

A Girl with the Guts

Ethan

Being kissed by a total stranger isn't something I'd usually tolerate, much less smile at. Normally, she’d be in a world of trouble by now.

But this lady's kiss, with its intensity and sense of surrender, made the beast in me weaken. Submission. She was submitting, yet also demanding control. I pulled away, meeting her piercing brown eyes. She was stunning.

“Are you alone tonight?” she asked unapologetically. I stared at her, then glanced over at her friend, who seemed shocked. She was drunk, no doubt, but still somewhat conscious.

“A timely question, Miss,” I replied, dripping with sarcasm.

“Are you okay, Boss?” Asher asked beside me, eyeing the confident woman warily.

“I’m good,” I replied curtly, debating whether to stay or leave.

I came to the bar to check on my business. Getting harassed by a pretty brunette wasn’t part of the plan.

“She just…” Asher began, but I waved my hand to silence him. I'm extremely intrigued by her boldness and looking at her right now only made me more amused.

“Good thing you’re alone,” she said, eyeing Asher before turning back to me. “Care for a drink?”

“Aren’t you too drunk already? You kissed a stranger,” I countered. She rolled her eyes at me. Good God!

“That was an invitation. Isn’t that how it’s done?” she replied, her gaze unwavering. “You’re the kind of person I need. Let’s not drag this out. I’m willingly giving myself to you tonight, Mister.”

I scoffed, and Asher glared at her. “I don’t need the services of an escort.”

“I’m not an escort,” she snapped, sounding offended. “You look like someone who’d take the offer and make good use of it. I guess whoever said ‘don’t judge a book by its cover’ was right after all.”

Did she just dare me? I’d noticed her the moment I entered the bar. She was dancing, making everything in me want to claim her. Her tiny body might only break in shreds underneath me.

“Kissing someone like me is inviting something you probably won’t be able to handle, Kitty.”

She smiled, clearly enjoying the nickname. “You might be surprised by how much I can handle.”

I laughed slightly. She wasn’t used to this; it was obvious. “What do you want?” I knew what she wanted, but I needed her to say it.

“You,” she said, laughing and moving closer. My eyes locked onto hers.

“You’re playing with fire, sweetheart.”

“I want to get burned.” She licked her lips, trying everything in her to be extremely seductive. “Burn me, mysterious blue-eyed cutie,” she said, her hands pressing against my shirt.

She doesn't look like a random slut, in fact she looked extremely innocent. Her innocence is one I want to unravel. For the first time in many years, I wanted badly to claim someone and mark her as mine.

Blue-eyed cutie? She was really trying to impress me. I had to admit, her body was one to die for. She bit her lip nervously, her gaze lingering on me, hoping I wouldn’t turn her down.

She moved closer, her breath warm against my skin. She smelled like heaven.

The seduction was working; my cock stirred, begging to be let out. I suppressed a groan.

Asher shifted uneasily beside me, waiting for my order. I ignored him and turned to the girl. “How about a drink? You proposed it earlier, remember?”

She won. I wanted her mouth wrapped around my shaft as soon as possible. Her intoxicating lips beckoned.

If she wanted to play games, she needed to know what she was getting into. She smiled, her dimples showing as I took in her full face. Heavenly.

“I’d like that. I believe there’s a place to lodge nearby.”

Asher, sensing where this was headed, leaned in and whispered, “Do you want me to check her records, sir? She could be sent by Ryker.”

I turned to him. “That fact alone will prompt me to fuck the living daylights out of her.”

His expression straightened immediately, and he nodded. “I’ll get the suite ready, sir.”

He understood the rules. I turned to the girl, who seemed to find comfort in my chest as her head rested against me.

“We’re leaving now. Inform your friend,” I ordered.

She nodded obediently and walked to her friend, who eyed me suspiciously before shoving something from her pocket into her hand. I scoffed. She wouldn’t need that because I had my own.

She returned to my side, holding my arm. “Now let’s go.”

“You have the option to go back in with your friend and have fun. Once you get into my car, you’re not getting out,” I warned, halting at the entrance of the bar.

“A night with you is better than many nights with a demon. I’ll do anything to avoid it,” she whispered. “I’m going with you.”

“Fine.” With that, I lifted her off the floor and slung her over my shoulder. She gasped, not expecting the move, as I carried her to the Lamborghini.

The car drove to the suite I always used. I carried her inside and set her down the moment we reached my room.

“Here,” I said, handing her a glass of whiskey. But she did the unthinkable.

She took the glass and seductively poured the drink over her chest, her eyes never leaving mine.

“You’re one impatient baby,” I smirked, downing the contents of my own glass in one gulp.

She placed the glass on the table beside the bed and returned. “I want this my way.”

No, Kitty, you look too inexperienced to have it your way.

“Your kiss at the bar tells me more than I need to know, Kitty. You probably haven’t been touched or eaten down there before.”

She gasped, almost retreating, but my hands wrapped firmly around her waist. “Nah, wrong move, Kitty,” I growled, pulling her closer. “I told you

earlier, there’s no going back once you enter my car.” I said, slamming my lips against hers.
