Scarlet’s POV

“Scarlet!”

Kanan muttered. He let out a sigh, his shirt half-bloodied as I stared at him in dismay. What was going on? I could barely think through the pain I felt.

“What is…What is happening?” I whispered.

“Thank you, Seth.” He muttered as he steadied me to my feet, holding me close in his arms. “This was bound to happen, Scarlet. Forgive me. I told you already, the next time they hurt you, I’ll kill them all.”
