Avyaane’s pov

The first thing I noticed about Killian’s wing was the cold, serenity. Not the kind that made you shiver, but the kind that sank into your bones and whispered you were somewhere you didn’t quite belong. His rooms were all sharp edges and shadows, heavy drapes blocking out most of the sunlight. Even the air smelled different here — clean, metallic, with an undertone I couldn’t place at first.
