LYRA

The pack was staring at me again.

At this point, I was starting to consider it a personality trait.

Every corridor I walked through quieted the second I appeared. Conversations cut off. Wolves moved out of my way too quickly, their eyes following me like they were trying to solve a puzzle they weren’t brave enough to touch.

The problem was—

They weren’t wrong.

Something was changing.

I could feel it more clearly now.
