LYRA

“No!”

The word ripped out of me so violently my throat burned.

The mountain collapsed around us in a deafening roar of stone and silver fire, but I barely heard it. I barely saw anything beyond the rubble crushing down where Lucian had disappeared.

The bond screamed.

Not broken.

Never broken.

But buried beneath pain so sharp it nearly split me apart.

“LUCIAN!”
