Chapter 2

Kaius POV

I walked confidently into the room, my brothers by my side. My dad narrowed his eyes and gave me a pointed look.

“Sons, when are you going to introduce your mate to me?” he asked firmly. "I am not getting any younger and it's becoming a problem knowing that you don't mates already."

Malachi shifted uncomfortably. “Ah, Dad, we’re still looking for the perfect one.”

Ashton snorted. “Well, you can’t just pick out any woman and assume she’s going to be the one to marry.”

I smirked to deflect attention. "Besides, Dad, we are not without women."

But Ashton's comment would eventually expose. "Except Kaius , of course. He is already found a mate."

My father immediately turned to me, his gaze filled with intense heat. "Kaius, is the only one that is bold enough to tell me about having a mate, even though it's going to be tough getting an Omega in my mansion."

I turned to look at Malaki and Ashton, they both knew what they were doing placing me at the forefront to confront the issue, but I wasn't going to allow it this time.

" Dad, it's... complicated. You see, we all have the same mate. That girl over there is our mate."

Malachi and Ashton both nodded at the same time, serious expressions on their faces.

"What do you mean that you all have the same mate? I have never heard of that before..." Father expressed, obviously bewildered.

I shrugged nonchalantly. "Believe it or not, this is reality. And to make matters worse, I'm supposed to work on a school project with her."

"Now listen here son, I know I have said in the past that Omegas are not allowed to be here in the pack mansion. However, seeing that the moon goddess has given you all the same mate, this must be a sign of things to come."

I couldn't believe what my father was saying. How did he expect us to be mated to such weakling.

"Father, I am not trying to discredit your decision, but we will never be mated to that thing over there. She doesn't deserve to be Luna."

"What do you know about someone being worthy? None of you are Alphas yet and you have so much ego." My father retaliated, getting frustrated.

"Now listen to me very well. I will give the status of leadership to anyone who is willing to make her fall in love. I guess this is how the moon goddess has decided the throne should be given."

Once again I stared at my father incredulously. How did he wanted me to drop down to make Lylah love me?

"My decision has been made and that's final." He declared and would leave for his room.

I stared at my brothers, who were also deep in thought. The reality of knowing that the only way to get to be the next Alpha was making our bully victim, who is also our mate love us. The task was daunting, but I wasn't willing to loose my position for anyone.

I walked to my room, still dreading the reality of my father's decision. Lylah was already into the project that was given.

"I thought it was best we started the project on time."

How I was going to convince her was a daunting task, but I was up to it, knowing my brothers would want to give their shot too.

I moved closer to her and for a moment, I noticed her body shaken, a show of submissiveness to my presence.

"There is something I want to say." I summoned the courage to speak. I looked at her and noticed she was paying attention.

"I know I have come across to you as a bully since you arrived college and I know that my actions would have cost you a lot, which is why I am saying sorry."

Staring at her eyes, I could see surprise written all over her. Of course she must really think I love her.

"I dont know what to say." She stumbled between her word.

"It's okay, I guess you have forgiven me and about that mate thing, I think we should reconsider it." I revealed.

"So you are not rejecting me?" She asked, a hint of excitement underneath her tone.

"Sure I am not. Let's just focus on the project." I replied, trying to get off my mind from the whole situation.

As we go through the project, I am opened to a new side of Lylah I haven't seen before. She was not the shy or weak Omega I know, she was bold while discussing topics.

"Are you this confident in yourself?" I initiates a conversation mid through the discussion.

"I am not good at speaking to people in public space. I can only talk to people, when I am in a comfortable space."

My eyes lowered down to her shirt, which revealed part of her cleavage. She pulled my eyes off them adjusting her buttons.

"You know you are beautiful right?" I spill out.

"Really?"

"Ofcourse you are, I just didn't like the fact that you are an Omega, but knowing we are mate, I don't have a choice."

There was a short silence between us as we stared down at each other. I took the bold move and held her by the chin, staring down at her lips, I threw caution to the wind and kissed her, savouring the sweet taste of her lips.

The moment her body gave into the desire, I tried getting her clothes off her body, but she quickly pushed me away.

"Sorry I am taking this too far." I stated, adjusting my clothings back, seeing how scared she was.

"It's okay." She said, facing everywhere else but me.

"Listen." I said getting close to her and holding her hands. "You are my mate and thats all that matters to me. We will be together and I will make sure that you don't see me as a bully, but as your lover."

Seeing the smile on her face, I engulf her in a warm hug, a smirk on my face, knowing I was edge ahead of my brothers.
