"Come on, let's go over the script," Jack said interrupting my thoughts. I was grateful for the distraction.

I received the script from him and started reading it. According to the script, we met at a fundraiser, more than a year ago and fell in love at first sight. We've been dating for over a year and are madly in love. Jack's likes and dislikes were spelled out in the script and I was expected to write down mine.
