Cindy rolled her eyes and said, "She deliberately provoked me, that's why I slapped her."

Jack sighed and said, "Miss. Banks, this is an office. You can't just hit people because they provoke you. What if Emily decides to sue you?"

Cindy heard what Jack had just said but her mind was more focused on the fact that Emily had been right. Jack was now calling her by her first name. Cindy angrily walked out of the office without saying anything else.
