He released me, his eyes returning to their usual colour. I had so much to say, things to yell at him, insults to hurl at him and so much more. But when I saw the pained look on his face, I faltered. There was so much guilt and self-loathing in his eyes, it made my heart ache. He took a step backwards, running a trembling hand over his face.

"I'm sorry...I wasn't...no...I didn't mean what I said..." he rasped, blinking rapidly.
