The first thing I noticed was the scent. Chamomile laced with honey. I blinked awake slowly. My limbs felt heavy, cocooned in the softness of a blanket I didn't remember pulling over myself. The couch underneath me creaked gently as I shifted, and golden morning light bled through the blinds, stretching across the floor.
