"Mom, Mom, Mom's awake!"

Amidst a familiar and tender child's voice, I struggled to open my heavy eyelids. In my blurred vision, I noticed several figures rushing around, spreading news as if it were a joyful announcement.

"Kayla!"

A strong and powerful hand gently landed on my forehead.

My brain had not yet identified the blurry figure, but my lips unconsciously called out his name.

"Harrison?"

"It's me, Kayla. You're finally awake."
