"Madam, madam! Alpha has given orders, and without his command, you cannot... madam!"

Intense arguing woke me from my slumber. Before I could grasp what was happening outside the room, a middle-aged, elegantly dressed woman stormed into my bedroom, her face seething with anger.

"It's you again, Kayla Reeves! How long are you going to cling to my son!"
