Nathan immediately released me, his face showing surprise. "What are you doing here?"

"Isn't that the question I should be asking?" I brushed the dust off my clothes, a hint of annoyance in my tone. "You nearly scared me to death!"

"Sorry, Kayla." Nathan gave me an apologetic smile. "I thought it was... Anyway, Kayla, you haven't answered my question. Didn't you tell me before that you were planning to move with Daisy? Where are you living now?"
