PARTY PREPARATION

I could see the smirk on her face after she had shown the mark to me. She tossed her hair back making sure that the mark was covered this time. She's happy now that she has done what she wanted to do. So now In her mind, she thinks she is now the Luna of silver moon pack or does she think I would lash out on her after she had shown me the mark. Well I don't blame her, it's Henry I blame. It's not even up to 48 hours that she arrived into our pack and Henry had marked her.

"Come on R, let's go." Lisa brought me back from my thinking.

We both got to my room and I just decided to sit on the bed for a while. Lisa kept staring at me, she had also seen the mark too and I know that she is probably worried about me.

"R," she said "Remember it's the Alpha king's dinner party tonight. Alpha king Eric is back and we all are going to celebrate him. We have been looking forward to it and we also need to go and select our dresses from the dress room, it has arrived." Lisa said, trying to remove my mind from what was bothering me. I have actually forgotten about the party that I was really dying to attend because I had wanted to do so with Henry but now I don't think I will want to attend it.

"Oh R, I know that look and I won't let you stay behind while I attend it alone. Come on, it will be so much fun." Lisa said as she held onto my hands.

Before I could respond to her, Henry opened the door and badged in on us. Lisa decided to excuse herself immediately leaving both I and Henry together.

"I'm glad that you are feeling better now Riley dear," Henry said, as he came closer to me and hugged me.

I didn't respond, I also didn't bother looking into his eyes. He already irritates me now because of what he did.

That mark wasn't an ordinary mark it meant something, it meant he had touched her in places I really do not want to imagine.

"So what do you want? Do you want to talk about the Alpha king's dinner party? I asked him so bluntly because obviously he is here for something.

"Yes." He cleared his throat, like he was about to sing or try to sound confident because I could feel that he was reluctant in what he wanted to say.

"It's about Sop, I mean Sophie."

"What about her," I pretended not to know exactly what he was saying.

"Well, I kind of promised to take her with me to the party." He said, as he tried to avoid my gaze.

"Wow, I wonder when it happened and why you are telling me about it." I said, with my head tilted to the right.

"Actually it's because of the love and respect I have for you and besides Sophie hasn't been to this type of party before." He said, this time around with so much confidence.

"What about me, it's also my first time. All these while I decided not to go because I wanted to go with you as a couple and in fact this is a different occasion." I said, still gazing at him.

"Just so you know, I'm actually not stopping you from going with her. Just do what you want and by the way I'm not interested in going." I lied, I was really hurting inside and I never want to show it. No matter what, I don't even plan to lose out. I'm definitely attending the party.

"It's fine but you have to choose a dress first from the dress room before the rest can proceed to choose theirs." He said, as he stood up from the bed.

"I will leave you now," he turned his back and left.

After two minutes, Lisa came in and dragged me to go select a dress.

"Li you know I actually have something to wear so there is absolutely no need to go select a dress." I reminded her.

"I know R but everyone is actually waiting for you to come select a dress first." She responded and kept dragging my hands.

We got to the dress room and I could feel everyone waiting. I went over and my eye fell on a particular beautiful dress but before I could take it, Sophie arrived and instead I picked up a different one.

"Oh Sophie dear, I know we haven't had much time to speak to each other and I'm glad you are part of us. Come choose a dress first, since you are Henry's soon to be Luna." I said to her, but never meant any word I said.

"Wow I'm really honoured, but I don't know and since you want me to choose first, I will like to take the one in your hands." She said with a smirk on her face.

I couldn't help but smile at her. "It's fine, here you can have it..." I said to her and placed the dress on her hand. It was now she realized how the dress was looking and wanted to make a different choice.

"No Sophie, you can't choose a different dress. We actually don't condemn things like that here in the silver moon pack." I said to her with a reassuring smile.

I could feel her boiling from inside, as she turned back and left in anger with the clothes.

I immediately grabbed the one I saw earlier and headed straight to my room. I decided to take a good shower and rested before It was time for the dinner party.

Evening came by and I started to dress up. "Do I look fine?" Lisa asked as she badged in on with a light green gown that suited perfectly on her. Before I could respond, she was surprised and amazed at my peach color dress. She kept asking me to turn around to be able to view the whole dress on me.

"You absolutely look good and sexy R," she said and winked at me.

"You also looked good," I complimented her dress too.

"Oh, yes. I just saw Henry and his mate leaving now and she really looked like a school student." Lisa said, and burst out into laughter. "I just loved what you did to her earlier."

I couldn't help but start laughing too. I finished up with my makeup and my hair. I got my most expensive jewelry and put them on. I wasn't ready to be looked down upon at all. I must really stand out. I was done now but remembered that we actually do not have anyone to follow or a car to use.

"Li, how are we going to get there," I asked Lisa.

"Oh that, it's sorted out already and Clinton is actually waiting for us right now." She said with a smile on her face.

"Thank goodness. Come on, let's go." We headed out together and met Clinton by car. I could feel his eyes on Lisa and I couldn't help but smile at them. They actually looked so good together.

We arrived at the event and I was really happy I made the right decision to be here. And now all attention will be directed to me.

I decided to go inside alone since Lisa and Clinton were both In a conversation with each other. The event had probably started some hours ago and it looks calm at the moment. This was my chance to make a grand entrance.

I made my way to the stairs which probably looked like a grand entrance to me. I started descending on the stairs with grace. I noticed how everyone's gaze was turned from their left and to where I was. I didn't know what they were looking at then and I didn't care. I just wanted the spotlight. I could hear whispers but it actually meant nothing and before you know it, they all started clapping as I made my way down. I wasn't expecting this at all, I didn't know why they were clapping for me. But before I could realize myself, I could feel my wolf Kira making moves in my mind. She has been angry with me for a while and now she keeps moving so fast in my head. I didn't know what was happening, I was having a good feeling until I realized the reason. My wolf was so happy and before you know it, it's voice was echoing in my mind. "Mate." The words sent shivers down my spine as my gaze met with the most handsome stranger walking towards me.

As I looked I saw who it was and I was so shocked. I murmured to myself, "No...this can't be. The Alpha king Eric is actually my Mate.”
