As I stood there I kept watching my mate. No this is not true, it can't happen. So my mate was actually about to become someone else's mate while I have been waiting for her for so long. I couldn't believe that she had really been humiliated In front of everyone just because Henry had to cancel their wedding on the D-Day and now they see her as nothing.

I felt so bad, and now I have finally found her I won't allow her to suffer again. She deserves happiness like a queen and I will give it to her. I repeated her name so many times in my head as if I was about to forget it soon.

"Eric," his beta friend called him back to his senses. "What the hell man."

"What?" He kept looking at Riley without sparing a glance at his beta.

"Remember you are standing in front of everyone and instead of focusing on them you are focusing on something else."

"For now everyone's direction is actually not on me," I said, still gazing at my mate. I was not happy to see how the men were all looking at her so hungrily. I could sense them wanting to claim her immediately for themselves. They all know that she wasn't able to get married and now they have all seen it as an opportunity.

"Who exactly is Henry again?," I asked my beta but before he could respond I noticed a huge broad chested man coming to her direction and held her hand.

"There he is," my beta answered and I wasn't happy with what I was seeing. I was seriously angry to see him holding onto her like that. I wanted to go over there and yank his hands out from my mates body. I wanted to go over there and show everyone that she was mine.

I could see the annoying smile on Henry's face. What exactly is he trying to do? Is he trying to prove to everyone that he is still with her, after he had humiliated her. He just needs to back off from her as soon as possible.

It was a good and bad thing for me. It was good because she ended up not getting married to anyone and it was a bad thing because Henry will not easily let her go.

I kept looking while the so-called Henry dragged her into the crowd. I got angry and left. I headed straight to my private room and my beta followed immediately.

"What is it man, why are you acting so weird today." My Beta asked me with so much concern on his face.

"It's nothing," I responded and headed over to grab a drink.

"Nothing? And you just walked out on everyone just like that." Jason continued.

"Jason I want you to go over to Henry and ask him to come over here with his mate and Riley. I would like to know more about them." I said to Jason in a commanding tone not wanting to respond to his previous question.

"But why Eric," he asked me another question again. This time around he was really pissing me off.

"Just do as you are told." I said with anger in my voice.

Jason kept staring at me, "Alright man, whatever you want."

Immediately Jason left, I asked the maids to get something so good and appetizing because I was having guests come over.

I would have wanted only Riley to come but I'm sure that Henry won't release her to me.

I was really not feeling comfortable. My wolf kept howling inside me and I'm trying so hard to shut it so that I could focus.

I sat on the chair that was provided for me but I stood up immediately. I was really anxious to look at Riley again, this is something that has never happened to me before. I don't know why I was feeling this way.

Jason finally returned and brought them with him. My gaze landed immediately on Riley, now that she was closer to me my wolf kept screaming "Mine". She looked so beautiful and her smell was the only thing that filled my mind that I didn't know that Henry was talking to me. Jason tapped me and maintained a smile on his while staring at the visitors In front of me.

"Come on, you are highly welcome." I said with a smile but instead I kept staring at Riley. She didn't even bother looking at me. I know it's because of Henry and I could feel that she wasn't happy.

"Thank you for having us here," Henry said with a smile on his face.

"Well it's nothing, I just want to get to know my people, that's all."

"Of course you're right, Alpha king." Henry responded.

The maid came and served so many dishes on the table. At least they can go ahead and make their choices.

"Dig in everyone," I said and immediately started eating. I could notice that Riley wasn't really eating and I was actually tempted to know what the problem was but I couldn't.

As we were eating, after a while I decided to clear off the quiet atmosphere, "Well I have been meaning to ask. Are you married, Henry?”

Immediately I asked that question I noticed how Henry choked on his food and his little blonde mate decided to get a napkin and wipe the side of his lips.

"Not yet but we are planning to do so." His little blonde mate responded with a smirk on her face as she looked at Riley.

I noticed that Riley stared back at her but didn't say a word. I could feel how sad she was and I wanted to take her away from these people but I couldn't.

"Yes, soon I will be getting married." Henry responded and continued with his food.

"But I thought you wanted to get married before, what actually happened." I threw another question at him, this time making him so uncomfortable while I was busy eating my food in peace.

"I thank the goddess that it didn't happen because it would have caused more harm than good." His little annoying mate responded again and I could feel that Riley was not comfortable.

"My wedding was actually postponed because I found my true mate." Henry responded and took a drink which happened to be beside him.

"Oh, I see. From my understanding, Riley is not your mate so why are you still keeping her." I asked another question but this time I was staring at Riley who happens to start eating this around.

I could almost hear Henry's thoughts fighting to control the anger and confusion that seemed to consume him. He looked at me and I knew for a second he was going to lash out. "Are you interested in my wife?" This was what I wanted. I wanted to fuel that fire in him.

"But she's not your wife or is she?," I asked his little mate who happens to not like the response of her mate.

"Yes, Alpha king. She is not his wife." His mate responded back.

"She's not my wife but she still belongs to me." Henry responded with confidence.

I noticed how uncomfortable his mate was. She was not happy with the way the conversation was going.

"Isn't that a mark on your mate's neck? Hmmm do you actually plan to have two Luna's." I fired back another question thereby making him uncomfortable.

Henry immediately pulled back. I'm sure he is shocked that I could actually see the mark at his mate's neck. Well his mate actually made it so easy for me to see. There is nothing there to hide.

"Well you don't need to be so worked up and I will take your silence as consent that she is your mate." I said as I pointed at the blonde close to him. I then turned to Riley, "Now that Henry has a mate I think it's time you accept me don't you think so?, because I have actually accepted you since the first day."

This time she turned and looked at me in shock. Well this was actually the first time she was looking at me since she came in here and I noticed how charming her eyes looked. Shiny blue eyeballs. Damn my mate is so cute. Before she could open her mouth to talk, Henry got up angrily from his seat.

"You must be joking, what do you mean that she should accept you. She is still mine and I can't release her to anyone else. Not even you." Henry said with so much anger in his voice.

"You can't release her to anyone? But you can bring your mate to the house and humiliate her." I fired back at him.

"Riley let's go," Henry said, as he tried to drag Riley from her seat. I stepped in and stopped him from doing that then turned to Riley. "So you haven't told him yet." I said as I looked into her eyes trying to know if she wanted to let him know or not.

"Told me what," Henry asked with a commanding tone as he looked at Riley. "Tell me everything now!" He shouted at the top of his voice.

"Hey, you don't speak to her in that manner." I warned him.

Riley was about to say something before Henry's blonde mate collapsed to the floor and started gasping for air.
