Scarlet's POV
“ Who the hell does she think she is?”
“ She's rude”
“What a bitch!”
Comments flew in the air as I scanned my eyes trying to locate the owners of the comments but they all seemed to shut up when I looked their way without me noticing them. Shit!
“Excuse me?” The teacher asked, making my gaze flick back at him.”
“You need to review” Jones answered for me instead.
“ I'm sorry, but I don't take nonchalance from my students.” The man flared but I gave a cool expression nevertheless.
“ You better get used to it then” I said with a light shrug. That just seemed to piss him off the most, making a smirk curl to my lips. I loved this.
“ Get a detention slip” He ordered and I scoffed.
“ Not while I am here” Jones spoke up and my smirk widened. “Thanks Jones”
“ You're not even supposed to be here young man” The man sparked and I feigned a yawn.
“If you don't want to lose your job, I'd advise you to start teaching, Clement.” Jones replied in a steady voice as I began to bring out the textbooks Dad bought for me.
“How….How do you know my name?” The teacher asked, obviously surprised.
“ I know a lot more than you think. So if you blow it, all I have to do is to press send and your secrets leak everywhere.” Jones replied to him in a cool and calm voice.
I began flipping the textbook, teaching myself. I couldn't wait any longer.

I stepped in the hallways with my hands clutching my leather jacket while I inspected the school. The Hanks were nice and the classes were classic, I guess- Jes had left to arrange a few things with my teacher while I strolled around.
“Hey” I turned to see a pretty brown haired girl smiling at me. She looked nice so I smiled back.
“ I'm Ellen, need a guide?” She asked, genuine interest hung in her eyes. It made me like her already.
“I'm Scarlet and that would be really great” I replied and she grinned before locking her arms with mine, stunning me a bit.
“ So let me introduce you to the school's peer groups.” She told me, pulling me away. I let her talk and mentioned many weird names to me and I nodded like I got it till a beauty caught my eye.
He stood leaning casually on a locker shutting his eyes like he was lost in his thoughts. He wore a big hoodie, so I couldn't see much, but he was glorious. His eyes opened and he locked gazes with me making my inside burn. He had green eyes.
What're you saying, Scar? Shut up, my subconscious yelled. Two guys walked over to him, also breathtaking. He took off his hoodie and a silent gasp escaped my lips. He was smocking hot, gorgeous, sexy, beautiful, everything combined together. He had jet black hair like mine.
Nevertheless, I don't do guys. Ellen must have noticed the long stare at him when she spoke
“His name is Vaughan Cooper. He's ice as hell. No one speaks to him. He is dreadful and isolated to himself and his friends. Heard he has a rough father” She stated and I
couldn't help but look at him.
There seemed to be something fascinating about him. He looked like a hell of a tough puzzle. He just looked so mysterious. Anyways, I don't care about him or his life- I have things in my mind.
“ Well, whatever. Can you take me to the gym class?” I asked her and she smiled brightly at me.
Her smile was so contagious. “ sure”

Vaughan’s POV
I got out of class and walked towards my locker hearing the usual.
“So hot”
“So dreadful”
“ He's so gorgeous”
I didn't really care about their comments. All that was on my mind was how I'd skip swimming class, I couldn't risk the whole class seeing my scar.
I leaned on my locker gently shutting my eyes, letting thoughts drain my mind. School, home, my stupid father who doesn't give a damn about me. Sometimes, I wonder if he had a heart. I hated him so much.
I opened my eyes and instantly held my gazes with an earthy beauty. I scanned her and she was gorgeous. Cool hair and cool clothes. She looked badass, but I didn't really care. She was hot though, but I had things on my mind.
My buddies, Asher and Xander walked over to me and gave me a light nod. We'd been friends since kindergarten and they'd been there for me when my mother died. No need to get all emotional and crap.
“Have you seen the new hot girl?” Xander asked and I couldn't help but roll my eyes.
“Yea, I have” I answered bluntly walking away with them beside me.
“Dude, she's hot as fuck” Asher chimed in but I didn't really pay attention. My mind was fixed on escaping swimming class.
“ Dude, are you even listening to us?” Xander asked, jolting me out of my thoughts. I blew out a soft sigh and raked my fingers on my hair.
“ I need some air” I told them in a hushed tone and left them advancing to the exit door.
I pushed open the door and headed for the bleachers. That was my quiet spot and no one ever stays there. I bent down and sat on the roads under the bleachers staring blankly at the open field.

Scarlet's POV
“What am I having now?” I asked as I unwrapped my chocolate bar worth a hundred dollars.
“P.E, at the track line” Jones answered and I nodded, then took a bite of my heavenly chocolate.
“Do you know where the locker room is?” I asked Ellen and she nodded.
I tugged her arm startling her a bit, but she got her composure and led me to the locker room. We got in and headed to what looked like an empty locker and began changing.
“So, I hardly know anything about you” Ellen began, obviously trying to start a convo with me but I hated the subject matter.
“Change the subject” I told her sharply. “Oh. Uhm-are you finished?” She asked me and I shook my head taking off my leather jacket and shirt.
“ So, have you had any crush lately?” She asked in a teasing manner and I just had to roll my eyes. “ I don't do guys” I told her bluntly as I wore my grey shirt and my gym shorts.
“So you've never dated before?” She asked me, stunned for a minute.
“Yep” I replied to her, popping out the “?”. I raised my hair to a ponytail but let the red lock fall on my face partly covering my eyes.
“Cool hair, I like the red colour” She commented and I smiled a bit, feigning surprise. “Why, thank you” I replied, earning a chuckle from her.
The door barged open to a group of blonde chick's walking in. The one at the front looked more loaded with make up and clothes I could easily find at my house trash.
“Get out” She ordered and I let out a throaty laugh.
“And who the fuck do you think you are blonde?” I bit back with a glare. She looked shocked by my comeback, making me cock a brow at her. Hasn't anyone ever been bold enough to step up to her limits.
“ Scarlet, let's just go” Ellen said, tugging my arm but I yanked her arm off.
“This is my locker room, so get the hell out” The blonde snapped and it took me in all my guts not to punch her face. So, instead, I crossed my arms over my chest and cocked a brow at her.
“ Come push me out” I told her with a light shrug. She gasped loudly, shooting daggers at me, making a smirk curl to my lips.
“I said, come push me out blondie” I repeated and she signalled her dolls at me. The girls walked over to me and attempted to grab my arm, but I caught hold of one of her blondie girls and tossed her to the rest of them, sending the trio to the floor.
“Now, you can come” I motioned at her, she stared at me wide eyed and so did Ellen.
“You dirty bitch, how dare you?” She flared and I took a step forward to her.
“What's her name?” I asked Ellen who still stood perplexed.
“Uh-Cherry” She answered and I smirked. I looked back at her lightly damaged trio and backed up at her
“Well Cherry, note of warning” I paused and took a step further while she retreated back.
“Stay away from me, else, I'd toss you and your dolls into the town's cemetery. You got that?” I told her and grabbed hold of Ellen's arm then walked past her not forgetting to roughly bump her shoulder with mine it sent her staggering backwards. What a weakling.
“You shouldn't have done that. You might get detention” Ellen said as we walked to the track field.
“I gave her a clear warning and detention is nothing to freak about.” I replied, wavering my eyes to find Jones. Where is he?
“We need to get to class before Coach Adam's kills us” She said, pulling me through a door and I was met with the open track field.
Students were all in their sports clothes standing at the line. We strolled to the track line and stood next to some kids I earlier realised to be jocks.
