The door clicked open, and Marie slipped in, bowing her head.

“Your Highness, you have a visitor.”

I shifted on the bed, curiosity rising. “Do you know who it is?”

She nodded. “Your sister. She said she’s your sister.”

I shot to my feet. “Elsa? Where is she?” The words tumbled out too quickly, my feet already carrying me toward the door. I forgot Marie was even there, forgot everything... because it had been years since ...
