“Alpha, when are we leaving?” Keiren asked for what seemed like the hundredth time.

I chewed against my fist, staring at the window. “Why isn’t she out yet?”

“Huh? Alpha, are you still thinking of the princess?” Keiren asked, his voice shaky at the edge.
