Roberto hadn't taken his eyes off me since we’d left the cave. At first, I brushed it off as his surprise at my sudden appearance in the woods, but as the moments stretched, the intensity of his gaze became unsettling. Even after we reached the place where I had left Thor, he kept watching me, and now, as we rode toward Cherry Mountain, I could still feel the weight of his stare burning against the side of my face.
