ARIA’S POV

I pushed Liam aside, and hurriedly left the room, heat rushing to my cheeks. I stood outside the door, catching my breath for some time before I headed out of the building.

As I walked, I thought about going to see Eva. My steps carried me halfway to her place before I changed my mind. I didn’t want to disturb her, not tonight. Instead, I turned back and sank into the garden chair, lifting my head to admire the stars scattered across the night sky.
