As birds chirped loudly outside the window and sunlight spilled into the room, Aria’s eyes fluttered open. She stretched and glanced at Liam lying beside her. Dark circles sat heavy under his eyes; it looked like he hadn’t slept through the night. Careful not to wake him, she slipped away and moved quietly into the bathroom.

Fifteen minutes later, washed and dressed to go see Eva, she stepped out of the dressing room only to find Liam awake.
