Aria and Eva sat at the foot of the old tree, silence wrapping around them like a heavy cloak. Aria held the picture in her hand, her fingers trembling slightly. Different thoughts crossed her mind, each one heavier than the last. The weight of it all felt like it was pulling her under. She couldn’t breathe. She couldn’t think. Finally, she stood abruptly.
