I stayed awake all night after my heart-to-heart talk with Eira.

Sleep never came. I lay on the bed, drowning in nightmares, reliving everything I had tried so hard to bury. I still felt every pain, every mocking laugh Kael threw at me like a blade. It was endless. Each time I closed my eyes, I was dragged back to that bed. Back to Kael’s fist slamming into my belly so hard it stole my breath. Back to my life slipping away while they stood there and watched.
