The mysterious lady in the dark lay on the bed, one trembling hand pressed against her chest as blood dripped from her lips. Her breathing came out in shallow gasps, each one weaker than the last. Just then, the door burst open and a man rushed in, panic flashing through his eyes as he saw how pale she looked.
