Chapter 5

Stephanie Badie White

After walking out of the club, all Stephanie's strength shattered.

She immediately walked to the curb by the side and started wretching.

There wasn't much in my system anyways so after a while all that came out was bile.

Jenny stood behind her rubbing her back and after what seemed like forever, Stephanie finally stopped and Jenny passed her a bottle of water to rinse her mouth.

“Are you okay now baby?” Jenny asked concerned.

“No?” Stephanie replied.

“Well come on, I'm packed not far away. Let's get you home.”

“Thank you so much babe.”

“Can we stop by Burger King first, I'm kinda craving a burger right now. Besides anything that was food in my system is now sitting pretty in the curb right now.”

“Sure.”

“Anything for you baby, as long as you are fine and you promise you wouldn't breakdown and cry, I will get you whatever you want.”

“Even if it's a star?” Stephanie asked with a sad smile.

“I will get you the moon if that's what you want.”

“Just please let me keep the kickass image I have of you right now a little longer.”

“Yo! Baby you really stunned me tonight.”

“Where has this person been all my life?”

“If I wasn't straight, I would have fallen for you tonight.”

”That was one hell of a slap. And all those things you said to that jerk—girrrllll you blew my mind”.

“Please can we keep this new Stephanie, I really love her. She's a don't mess with me or I'm gonna fu** you up bitch.”

“God Jenny can't you see I'm sad right now? Don't crack me up please.”

“I just finally ended a two year relationship with a guy I truly and deeply loved and all you care about is my alter ego I didn't even know existed?”

Steph was seriously trying to fight the smile that was creeping up on her but Jenny's expression wasn't helping matters.

“Girl of course all I care about is your alter ego.”

“He-llo didn't you hear me say I'm in love with her?”

“To hell with your sadness, girrrl I just got myself a new bestie, no offense to the old you, I liked the soft, caring Stephanie but I like this badass Stephanie even better.”

“Besides she's still you so technically I still love you.”

Jenny could be dramatic but she was right though— Stephanie kinda liked this alter ego too and was considering keeping her full time.

She was done with people messing with her heart and Stephanie didn't think she had it in her to love again—so maybe having badass Stephanie around wasn't such a bad idea.

“Very well then. Let me officially introduce you to Stephanie Baddie White.”

“Yas girl!”

“Yas!”

“Now that's what I'm talking about”.

“It's a great pleasure to make your acquaintance Baddie.”

They both bursted out laughing as they pulled up to the fast window to place their order.

“Baddie do you want to take this home to eat or should we just take this to the beach and eat?”

“Hmm! The beach sounds like fun, besides it's just 11pm and the night is very young.”

“I had a feeling Baddie would say that. Now you see why I love her?”

“Can you be serious for once Jenny?”

“Tell me why should I be? Baddie is giving me all the right vibes.”

“Well thank you. Seriously Jenny, thank you.”

“Thanks for being available all the time”.

“Thanks for being my rock and always standing by me at my lowest point”.

“Thank you for not judging me and always containing my excesses and for always be willing to send someone to the ER for me which I think you need to grow out of. I love you babe.”

“Now that's some Stephanie Marie White shit. Stephanie Baddie White will never talk like that.”

“Hey she has emotions too you know. She's not some robot with no feelings.”

“Yeah I know that, I'm just messing with you. Come here baby, give mama a hug.”Jenny pulls Steph in for a tight hug.

“I love you too baby.”

“I know you are really hurting deep down and you are trying so hard to be strong—everything will be fine trust me and I will be with you all the way like you have been there for me.”

They release eachother and Jenny asks Steph how she knew Alex was going to be at Club Seven

“I overheard you on the phone with Spikes Jenny when you thought I was sleeping and so when you left, I just got up and followed you.”

“How do you know the name Spikes?”Jenny asked Stephanie surprised.

“Relax Jenny—there's a reason I'm your best friend”.

“It's my duty to know everything about you, even the things you don't tell me”.

“I've known about your secret hacker identity for a while now but since you didn't tell me about it—I chose to be oblivious about it and wait till you were ready to tell me about it.”

“I saw the look on your face when Alex hung up on you and I knew you would kill him if you got your hands on him.”

“So when you thought I was sleeping and left the room—I quietly got up and stood by the door and listened to your conversation.”

“I wasn't going to let you get into trouble because of me.”

“Although that punch felt amazing to see and then the extra punch for that jerk Steve was the icing on the cake for me.”

“Well thank you.”

“I was happy to deliver the punches and would have done more but you had finished Alex already and I couldn't stand that Steve guy.”

“I am also sorry I hid my identity away from you.”

“I have been dying to tell you about it for the longest time now, but I just didn't know how to say it.”

“It's not like I could walk up to you and say, hello baby— I'm a secret hacker now and I belong to an underground network of hackers.”

“It's literally that simple! But I understand all the same...”
