SHEYRYLL POV
It's a chilly morning for those who are alive, but for me, it's just another dawn. I'm here in the woods because I noticed the Alpha heading this way.
I come across a blue silk robe that likely belongs to him, and I pick it up.
Being a spirit tethered to the earth has its advantages, but it comes with more drawbacks. If I were alive, I would have run alongside him, and perhaps we would have marked each other long ago. Unfortunately, that's not the case.
Now, I have to watch from the sidelines as he loves and kisses someone who isn't me.
I hear footsteps and look down to see him in his wolf form-black with a bit of white fur on his brow, his green eyes sparkling like emeralds.
He shifts into his human form, revealing his Greek demigod physique for me to admire. He starts to look around, and I can sense his panic from where I am. I chuckle loudly enough for him to hear me.
He turns again, and I can't help but gasp at the sight of him.
If I were alive, I would have let him have his way with me by now. I smile at the sight of him.
"Good morning, Alpha. Are you looking for something?" I ask.
He looks up, and horror spreads across his face.
He quickly covers himself, and I laugh even harder. "That's a bit immature. For someone who shifts regularly, you should know that no one minds seeing a naked person." He hesitantly lowers his hands.
"You startled me. What are you doing here?" I smile.
"Just singing with the birds. And you?" he sighs.
"I'm out for my morning run, looking for my robe."
"If I help you find it, what do I get in return?" He pauses for a moment, as if considering.
"What do you want?" he asks.
"A tour around your archives," I reply. He nods, and I toss the robe at him.
"Are you not coming with me?" I shake my head.
"Go ahead, I'll catch up with you," he nods, and I stay inside until he disappears.
I want to uncover how Dominic's family was completely wiped out, especially since he can't figure it out himself. He spends his time scaring and killing people, then chasing after me.
I know Alpha Vald is linked to Dominic's pack, so I need to find out how.
When I arrive, I grab a random file, sit down, and wait for him.
"I found what I was looking for," I wave the file in front of him.
"And what is that?" I let out a sigh.
"The Red Shadow Pack. How do you know them?" His jaw tightens.
"They killed my uncle and wiped them out before I could take my revenge," I say, feeling a sense of relief. "Who was responsible for it?" He clenches his fists.
"The Almond Crest Pack. Apparently, they owed them a lot of money and gold that they failed to pay back. They took their virgin girls until there were no more left, so they resorted to taking newborns. Eventually, they got tired of that. The Red Shadow Pack refused to let them take over their territory, so they killed them all."
I nod in understanding. "I heard some rumors, but by the time I got there, no one from the pack was alive, and I couldn't avenge my uncle's death," I sigh. At least now Dominic might stop searching.
"Why do you ask? Are you from the Red Shadow Pack?" I chuckle.
"No, I'm not from that pack. I was considering moving there, but I've heard it's a bad idea. Maybe I should move here instead," he grins.
"That would be a pleasure," he replies.
"Really?" I raise my eyebrows.
"Yes, really," he steps closer to me. "So tell me about your pack or yourself." I get up from the table and return the file to where I found it.
"You know, I don't think you can truly get to know someone just by hearing about their likes and dislikes," I respond.
"The only thing you need to know about me is what's in my pants," he gestures to the bulge in his pants, and I widen my eyes in surprise.
VALD
"Alpha" My beta barges into the room.
I turn to him with a frosty gaze. I am the Alpha, and everything demands my full attention. I also deserve some privacy, but what would someone like him understand about that?
I glance around for my little visitor, but she has vanished again.
I chuckle to myself.
"How can I help you? This better be worth my time," I say.
"I think I caught a different scent in the woods that I tried to track down, but it was futile. I asked Patricia for help, and she said it’s a witch’s scent. Should I be concerned?" I understand now.
That’s why she keeps disappearing; it’s because she’s a witch, and she means no harm.
"I caught a scent too, a woman's. I think I saw her twice, but I’m not entirely sure I grasp the situation. Is there anything else?" He shakes his head.
"You’re dismissed," I say, and he leaves.
"Beads of sweat formed on your forehead when you saw your beta. I wanted to save you the awkwardness of introducing your mistress to him," I smile at the sound of her voice.
"Why do you keep disappearing?" I ask.
"It’s part of a mistress's role to vanish when things get complicated," she replies with a smile.
"So you’re my mistress?" I ask, moving closer to her.
"Am I not?" she tilts her head.
"I’m not sure," I say, standing near her.
"What do you call a girl who secretly meets with someone’s mate? In the woods? In dusty archives and in the dark?" she asks, biting her lower lip.
"But we’re not having sex," I state bluntly.
"What’s stopping us from having sex, Alpha Vald?" she challenges, and I find myself thinking with my cock instead of my head.
I part her legs and position myself between her thighs.
"Your body looks perfect, just right for me to cum," I whisper to her.
"Make me cum, Alpha."
