A pack member enters, exasperation flashing across his face. He hates serving me but doesn’t really have a choice unless he wants to challenge me.

“I have a letter from the council in reply to yours,” he says as his brows furrow.

“Oh, good. They finally decided to respond. It took them long enough.” I reach forward and snatch the letter out of his hands. “You may go.”
