We finished the dinner, and Doran took his leave. I was left alone with André, and he pulled me close and gave me a soft kiss on my lips, his warmth melting into me, and I could still taste the spicy meal on his lips.

"Don't give Doran any thought. He is a joker most of the time."

I smiled back and received his next kiss.

"I think he is very deserving of the position of your Beta. He is interesting."
