There was silence in the car, and we continued to drive. I snuggled close to André and watched Pierre and Sephora. She seemed closed and distant, but Pierre was doing his best to engage her in a few discussions.

"So, what hobbies do you engage in outside of physical combat?"

"I have none. My job is to guard the Alpha and Luna and train the Luna."

Pierre chuckled nervously.

"Speaking of training. You were really good in your sparring match with the Alpha."
