Alpha Bernard looked at his Beta and knew there was something he was hiding from him.

What are you keeping from me? he thought in his mind. I shall find out.

They were still talking when Ellen was anniiumced. She looked at Troy but made no comment but went straight to Alpha Bernard who was not too surprised to see her. He had been told to expect her.

So the Beta had been telling the truth after all.

"Alpha Bernard", Ellen said.
