Chapter 5

Charlotte's POV

I never knew pirates were this handsome. There was another almost as handsome as Adrian, but with a smaller body frame. His hair was brown , and his eyes were black. There was a smirk on his face, and when our eyes met, that smirk disappeared into a serious look.

“What do you want here, Lucas?” Adrian growled, interrupting the eye contact between the guy and me.

“Just welcoming my favorite crew.” He responded with a smirk, looking at Adrian.

“Well, I'd advise you to stay away.” Adrian growled.

I looked longer at the other alpha, and he looked at me too. He's just cute, that's all. And maybe if I can get him to be infatuated with me, I'd be able to escape.

“That guy is looking at you.” Rubella muttered, talking about Lucas.

“Who knows?” I shrugged it off.

After settling into the seawolf's territory, we were locked in a different room. And thankfully this time, I had Rubella with me. We were apparently the only survivors of the attack.

“How are we going to escape from this place?” Rubella asked.

“I've been thinking about that from the moment we got on their ship.” I sighed.

“They have handsome men though.” Rubella sighed back.

The door was pushed open, and two guys walked in. They had several foods on different plates. They dropped the tray on a table, freed our hands, and they left. They locked the door behind.

“Why would they leave us like this?” Rubella asked. “We can literally escape if we want to.”

“Where will you escape to?” I asked. “Another maybe worse pirate crew that'd kill us immediately? Or can you navigate yourself halfway around the world back to Silverwood?”

“Fair point.” Rubella muttered, and we started eating.

My initial plan was to starve myself until they'd let me free, but it looked like I'd just be making things easier for them. And to worsen it, their food was very attractive.

Rubella and I ate, enjoying the temporary escape from our impending problems.

“The spoons are metallic.” I observed.

“Want us to stab them with it once they come in?” Rubella asked.

“There are two forks, and nothing really hurts us , so it'd be stupid.” I shrugged. “Just unless their omega wolves are the ones that come.”

“They might be too weak and with your royal powers, we should be able to defeat them.” Rubella sounded excited.

“But after that, what next?” I shrugged. “Fight past tons of werewolves to escape into another pirate territory?”

Rubella's excitement died, and we sighed.

Still, I held the fork, and I hid it in my bra, holding another in my hand, just in case a rare opportunity came up. I'm sure none of them would be able to beat me in a race. The royal genes aren't a joke.

The doors flung open again, and two different guys walled in.

“I'd suggest you throw that fork away and give up on whatever you're thinking.” One of them said,

I wanted to be a little stubborn, until Rubella whispered into my ears.

“That's Julian, he's Adrian's beta.” She said, We had already mastered the art of whispering to each other without making any form of noise.

I dropped the knife immediately, keeping the one in my bra well hid.

“The one in your bra also, please.” Julian said, stretching out his hands. “There's no time.”

Shocked, but I angrily removed it from my bra, and I gave it over to him.

They led us out, and Julian held me by my arm to something that looked like a courtroom.

There was a throne made of skulls and wood, and Adrian was seated on it. He looked more dangerous with the pose he struck. I would have marvelled at his beauty if I didn't want to gut him so badly.

“So, you've been brought here to be shown the fate you'd suffer in this land, till the alpha can properly decide what is to be done with you.” Julian muttered.

“Left to me, I'd make sure everyone takes turns on you before I'd send you off to your goddamned father.” Another one spat.

A growl from Adrian made all of them keep quiet.

“So, what the fuck is your decision?” I asked, folding my arms. “Will you tell your minions to take turns on me, or you'll send my body bit by bit to my father who would storm this place in no time?”

Adrian was calm, reflecting the opposite emotion I wanted from him.

“I might just do that if that's what you really want.” Adrian shrugged. “And there's no one else apart from pirates that know where the pirate kingdom is.”

“No one has, no one will.” All the pirates echoed. It sounded like a creed.

“So, what then will you do?” I asked.

“Please don't touch my lady.” Rubella begged. “Hurt me all you want, but show mercy on my lady.”

“Such nobility and love.” Adrian scoffed. “I'm not hurting anyone…”

“... yet.” He added, taking a break.

“Your maid earlier told me that you have experience as a doctor.” Adrian said, taking a deep breath. “You will tend to the needs of the people here, and will use your medical expertise.”

“And that's in exchange for your protection, until I can decipher what to do with you.”

“And if you never decipher it?” I growled.

“I'm guessing you will be here a very long time.”

All of a sudden, the door burst open. There was a big fat man at the door. My eyes caught Julian's sword by his side.

“Lord Thomas!” One of the wolves muttered.

“I can't believe you fuckers got back, and none of you decided to tell the lord of the pirate kingdom.” Thomas said, holding his big stomach with so many people behind him.

What better way to cause chaos that'd be barely solvable than to hurt the Lord of the pirate kingdom? If I'm lucky, it'd even become a big fight.

Lord Thomas walked in closer, and I took my chances. Rather than go for the sword, I used my wolf claws to tear his back apart.

The growl that escaped his lips was very effective in throwing the whole place into chaos.

Lord Thomas shifted into his wolf, and was about to pounce on me when another wolf stood before me. He had jumped at me from the throne.

He was a red wolf with a part of his fur white. The white part was the perfect drawing of his crew's logo.

He was absolutely beautiful. Adrian.
