Surprise Moment

Jason was surprised to hear Emma's statement. He immediately looked at the woman's face beside him. "Are you serious? Don't joke, Em. Please..."

"I'm not joke. I'm serious." Emma smiled thinly. Who knows what the future impact of the decision she made now will be? She just followed the flow of her life, and especially she wanted to lighten her mother's burden.

The atmosphere that was initially tense and awkward immediately turned into joy. Especially Regina, who looked so happy to hear her daughter's answer. Emma was certainly touched to see her mother finally able to laugh freely again after so long since her divorce from her father. "I don't know if my decision is right or not. I just feel that Jason is a good man," she thought.

Jason continued to stare at the woman beside him, who was silent after making a statement that surprised him quite a bit. He moved closer to Emma while his parents were busy talking with Regina. "Are you serious about your decision?" he whispered while looking at Emma.

"Yes," Emma answered while nodding her head. "But I ask you one request."

Jason frowned. "What is it? Talk to me."

“I asked you not to tell anyone that we have a special relationship,” Emma answered in a whisper and refused to look at Jason.

“Okay. It’s not a difficult matter. I’ll do whatever you want.” Jason smiled, then dared to touch Emma’s hand and hold it gently.

The dinner was over. Jason’s family left Emma’s house area with his parents. Regina’s smile never faded even until Jason’s car was no longer visible. However, not with Emma, who just silently pondered while leaning against the door.

“Finally, I can smile happily again,” Regina said, then turned to Emma. “Hey, what’s wrong? What’s with the expression on your face? Are you okay?”

Emma took a deep breath as she answered, “I don’t know.” She immediately went into her bedroom.

“Why with her? Weird,” Regina muttered while shrugging her shoulders, and then she closed the door of her house.

The next day, Emma parked her car. Just as she closed her car door, she was shown Jason's figure walking leisurely with his friends. "Oh, my God! Trouble already appears early in the morning." She took a deep breath before stepping into the economics faculty building. "Hopefully he keeps his promise. I don't want anyone to know that I have a special relationship with him. I don't want to have enemies, especially his fanatic fans." She covered her face with a book and then walked quickly into the economics faculty building.

"Huh, luckily he didn't see me." Emma breathed a sigh of relief. However, she stepped back quickly when she saw the lift door was about to close. "Wait…!" Her feet swiftly held the lift door. She felt relieved when the lift door opened again. She went inside. However, she was again surprised by the figure of a man who was already in the lift.

"Hi, good morning, Mr Austin." Emma tried to smile. However, Austin's cold response made Emma even more annoyed. The atmosphere in the lift became awkward, and Austin was just silent, busy with his cellphone.

When the lift door was about to close, it suddenly opened again and several students entered, causing Emma and Austin to step back. "Good morning, Mr Austin," the students greeted.

"Good morning," Austin replied.

Emma, who heard it, immediately glanced at Austin, who was standing beside her. "It's my turn to say hello, he doesn't want to answer. He's really an unfair lecturer," Emma grumbled to herself.

The crowded lift forced Emma to be pressed up against Austin. The man's scent wafted into her nose. Unknowingly, she began to get addicted to Austin's perfume, which gave a masculine, mysterious, and classy impression. Unknowingly, her nose sniffed near the man's body while her eyes were closed.

Austin, who realised Emma's attitude, immediately and deftly pushed the woman's head with his index finger away from his body. "Oh, shit! The scent of her body makes my desire to suck her blood increase," he thought to himself while covering his nose with his palm.

Emma suddenly realised what she had done. "Oops, sorry." She tilted her body, facing away from Austin. She was so embarrassed that she didn't realise that the lift was empty and it was just her and Austin left.

"Go ahead, please!" Austin said.

"For what?" Emma asked with an innocent face until the lift door closed again.

"Oh my! You are so annoying! Barbaric students who have no manners." Austin grumbled as he stepped forward and pressed the open button again, then he immediately left Emma, who was still stunned in her place.

Emma widened her eyes when she heard Austin's words just now. She was very annoyed, then stepped after her lecturer. When her steps were parallel with him, she deliberately nudged Austin's body, causing the man to crash into the trash can. Luckily, Austin's balance was still under control so he didn't fall to the floor.

"Oops, sorry. I did it on purpose. Bye, Mr Austin." Emma immediately ran away in a panic.

"Oh shit! Impudent student!" Austin growled, looking furious with Emma's attitude.

Emma smiled to herself when she arrived in front of her class. She was still imagining Austin's annoyed face, which made her so happy. “It turns out my happiness is quite simple. Just seeing him angry like earlier can make me happy,” she muttered as she stepped into the classroom.

However, when her feet had just touched the classroom floor, she was surprised by the presence of Jason, who was the centre of attention of her classmates. “What are you doing here?” Both of her eyes widened when she saw Jason, who was now also looking at her.

“I came here because I wanted to see you,” Jason answered, making the students in the classroom and even some students who were peeking outside the classroom surprised by the campus idol’s statement.
