The room had gone completely silent. Everyone’s eyes were on me, the scattered documents still lying at my feet.

Ryan stepped forward, his face full of disgust.

“So, you’re a thief now, Katelyn?” he sneered loudly, making sure everyone heard. “Stealing confidential documents? I always knew you were ambitious, but I never thought you’d stoop this low.”
