When I woke up, I found myself lying on Ethan, his arms wrapped tightly around my waist. At first, I stiffened, but then I remembered the night before with Lucas insisting we both stay with him, his little body wedged protectively between us.

Sometime during the night, Lucas must have moved to the far edge of the bed, making space between us. Now, in the quiet early light, his hold on me was gentle and our faces were only inches apart.
