The lights over the stage were bright and sharp. My microphone had just been cut, the broadcast in chaos, Logan standing off to the side with his arms folded, his people scrambling behind the cameras. I stayed where I was, looking directly at the cameras, not willing to back down.

There was a strange, heavy pause as the control room decided what to do. The producers and technical crew glanced between Logan and me, not sure who to follow.
