His words made me tremble all over.

The heat from his chest radiated through the small space between us. His scent wrapped around me—clean sweat and something darker, something primal. I wanted to bury my face in his neck and breathe him in until I couldn’t think straight.

I turned toward him slowly, heart pounding.
