Watching Ruby’s back as she walked away, I couldn’t shake the feeling of unease in my chest.

Yes, I had messed around with Lisa. Yes, I knew it wasn’t right. But in my mind, Ruby had always been my real love. I convinced myself that flirting with other women didn’t mean anything.
