Ruby’s POV

Rebecca crossed her arms. “You’re camping… here?”

“Yeah. Came with a couple of my buddies. Figured the fresh air might do me good.”

Ruby looked suspicious, and I didn’t blame her. She wasn’t stupid. But I couldn’t exactly tell her I tracked her scent through the trees like a bloodhound.

“You followed us,” she said slowly, watching my face.

I gave a small shrug and whispered. “Let’s just say your body guard told me.”
