A week passed, and somehow… life went back to normal.

Or at least, everyone else’s did.

I threw myself into my project, something for the club that was due in a few weeks. Research, drafts, a checklist scribbled across my notebook pages.

It gave me something to focus on, something that didn’t involve glowing eyes in the dark, ancient spells, or werewolves with sharp jaws and even darker secrets.
