Helen’s POV

When Keith said he would go and apologize to Aurora, I thought I had misheard him. I stared at him for a beat, waiting for the joke, the anger, the familiar irritation to surface. But none of that came. He looked tired. Like something had finally sunk in and refused to leave.

My wolf shifted uneasily under my skin.
