When Alpha Gray walked into the room, the first thing he did was look straight at me. His eyes softened, but then a faint smirk appeared.

“You’ve gained a little weight,” he said quietly, his tone teasing but affectionate.

I blinked, a little startled. “Have I?”

He nodded, still smiling. “It suits you. You look healthy.”
