I felt it before anyone spoke.

The air around Gray shifted, heavy and sharp. Wolves were sensitive to that kind of pressure, especially when an Alpha was being summoned through a mind-link by someone stronger.

Gray slowed, then stopped in the middle of the corridor.

The soldiers behind us straightened at once. Sloane turned, her expression sharpening.
