Aurora’s POV

The room was a battlefield, the last of the dinner plates forgotten, voices still ringing from the chaos that started at the table.

Helen and Fallon were staring each other down, both trembling, the tension almost visible in the air. Fallon’s lips curled in a taunting smile. She tilted her head, eyes cold.

“Go ahead, Helen. You can’t scare me,” she said softly, her words a challenge.
