I watched all this with a cold heart. My body didn’t move. My eyes followed every twitch of Luna Melissa’s face.

Her mouth was pulled tight, her jaw trembling as she gripped Alpha Frank’s collar with both hands. Her nails dug into the fabric, bunching it. Her shoulders shook from the effort.

A thin, humourless curve formed on my lips. Inside, my thoughts were sharp. Pain was the only thing that could reach her now.
