The door opened and Lenora stepped in first. Ashley followed close behind.

Her hair was pale gold, cut straight at the shoulders, and her eyes were an icy blue that caught the light when she moved.

She wore a fitted white sweater and dark jeans tucked into ankle boots.

Ashley’s gaze stopped on my face. Her eyes narrowed slightly, and her lips parted. “They really are purple,” she said, her voice careful. “Luna Aurora, right?”
