I woke up three days after the attack on Silver Moon.

My body ached. Every movement sent sharp pain through my ribs and shoulder. The healers said I'd been lucky. The Shadow Clan member who'd grabbed me had broken bones but hadn't killed me.

Lucky. That was a joke.

I sat up slowly in the small healing room they'd given me. The walls were plain. The bed was hard. Everything about this place reminded me how far I'd fallen.
