Helen’s POV

Alpha Keith’s face was hard as stone when he finished listening to my report about Aurora’s demands.

He sat on the edge of the bed in the small room outside the dungeon, fresh bandages under his shirt, the scent of herbs and dried blood still clinging to him.

“So,” he said, voice flat, “she wants all the money back. Sixty million. And a public apology.”

“Yes,” I answered, lowering my eyes just enough to look obedient. “Those were her exact terms.”
