Aurora was still breathing unevenly when I pulled back to look at her.

Her cheeks glowed faintly pink, her silver hair messy against her shoulders. I could see the rise and fall of her chest, quick and uncertain. Her lips parted like she wanted to say something but couldn’t find the words.

I brushed a thumb along her jaw and smiled. “You were incredible,” I murmured. “Everything you did…”
